It is a page created for the future possible of screen developing, it is a little different from the other pages in the magazine. Firstly, I quote a paragraph of words from Tim Bajarin who is recognized as one of the leading industry consultants, analysts and futurists, covering the field of personal computers and consumer technology. It laid the foundation for my opinion about the screen technology developing. I prepared a fantastic short story to present the future development prospect in our daily life, it is interesting and quite fresh to attract audiences' mind. Magazine is a way for entertainment, though people want to get the information, it is different from coursebook, it should be lively and relaxed, that was the purpose to choose the story form to this article. The article is as follows:
Tim Bajarin is recognized as one of the leading industry consultants, analysts and futurists, covering the field of personal computers and consumer technology. Mr. Bajarin is the President of Creative Strategies, Inc and has been with the company since 1981 where he has served as a consultant providing analysis to most of the leading hardware and software vendors in the industry.
“The future of personalized computing will not be limited to our PCs, tablets or smart phones. In our digital future, we will have all types of screens in our lives that are tied to the cloud and can be used to access our digital stuff. In fact, with companies like Corning working on flexible displays, I fully expect to someday have a screen on my arm that’s like a bracelet. The screen would connect to the Internet and could even be smart, but more likely it would serve as another gateway to my personal cloud. Google’s Project Glass represents another screen that I could use to access my stuff in the cloud as needed. The future of personalized computing is a future where we will have all types of screens in our lives and the one that is the most important is the one that is closest at hand at the time someone needs access to their cloud.”
With the development of technology, we cannot be sure about what screen can be to us because it is so changeable, no matter in the size or form of expression, it can be a “real” product or virtual. “Think different” is an advertising slogan for Apple Computer, Steve Jobs purposely used this phrase to get people’s attention to looking at the world from a different perspective. On account of this kind of spirit, Apple has designed and created a series of products like iPhone, iPod and IPad, the technology has been made a huge contribution people’s daily life. Apple was granted a patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for a new screen technology that could potentially make the next-generation iPhone thinner and lighter. “Current touch-screen technology places the touch sensitive elements of the screen over the liquid crystal display. The Cupertino-based company’s patent, however, describes a variety of ways in which a touch-screen’s touch sensitive technology could be integrated within the actual LCD screen.” The portable of screen occupy an important position in today’s technology competition. In the development of science and technology today, touch-screen provides amounts of benefit and convenient to us, however it still existing some disadvantages. For example, Input errors increase while typing speed decreases for most touch-screen users. In the meantime, it is difficult to know when a “button” was pushed on a completely flat touch-screen. It is more difficult to editing photos in touch-screen especially for the exactly size, majority of touch-screen users have the same experience. Recently the sensitivity and accuracy of touch-screen will be paid more attention that can be satisfied with customers’ demand.
The Future-- Possible Development of Screen
It’s 2020, the sun is shining brightly, you are staring at the clock. You get up to the washing room , while you are brushing your teeth it appears the entire day schedule at the top of you mirror, and the time remaining is absolutely at the bottom of it. In the meantime, all the useful information related to you appearing in the middle, including weather, business, entertainment, of course about the gossip news for pleasure. Beauty is always the central concern for a woman. You open your clothes press stand before the screen, the “virtual fitting room” project a 3D image of the item of clothing, only 5 minutes you solve the dress up headache, no matter you want sexy dancer, office lady or Barbie doll. There’s a meeting alarm from you iPad, you need catch up the early bus for working, you roll up you iPad in your handbag. Where is your cell phone? It has combined with you Ipad and Ipod, it seems like the “Transformers”. The Bus Time is always as dry as dust, you take out you IPad and switch it to the physically, listen to the music, watch a short video, Face time with your boyfriend, don’t worry it is charging its battery through a built-in organic solar cell. It is arrived, oh, 10 minutes left, need a coffee to wake up, there is a nearby Starbucks on the corner. Its appealing smell and inviting atmosphere are difficult to resist, you come to the Cashier and look into the mirror, the makeup looks spotless, one moment you get your cappuccino without sugar as usual. The coffee shop stores the customers’ material and combined with Face Recognition System, it is an effective way to save time and human resources. Work is the beginning of a busy and enrich day, enjoy. That’s my vision of the future development of screen technology, and it brings the vision of the future close to reality, not the remote allusions.
